There have been a lot of rumors concerning the connection between chlorine dioxide and NASA. It has been said that NASA endorses the use of chlorine dioxide as a safe method to kill harmful microorganisms in the body, thus declaring it the “universal antidote” in 1988.
There is no doubt that NASA has been using chlorine dioxide for purposes of sanitation for a long time. Alcide, one of the companies that supplied NASA with chlorine dioxide, registered a patent based on chlorine dioxide with the intent of using it in air conditioning as a disinfectant.
The new product was featured in NASA’s yearly magazine SPINOFF in 1988. The title of the article about the company’s new product was titled, “A Universal Antidote.” The article did feature some impressive information about chlorine dioxide and its ability to kill pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi and is non-toxic to humans, plants or animals.
Also noting that chlorine dioxide was being used in research for potentially treating lung disease, acne, herpes and cystic fibrosis.
Although, in this article, published by NASA, they did title it,
“A Universal Antidote”
And did report,
It kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi
Is non-toxic to humans, plants or animals
And,
May potentially be effective in treating lung disease, acne, herpes and cystic fibrosis
Those statements were specifically directed in general to ongoing research and patents that were held by the Alcide Corporation.
One would hardly consider this an endorsement, and in no way would it indicate that NASA had recommended the oral ingestion of chlorine dioxide for any reason.
ci02 disinfectant
ci02 disinfectant has been used for over 100 years a universal sanitization agent in hospitals, laboratories, and industrial in all types of food processing facilities.
ci02 disinfectant is used as water purification drops in the field by military, research expeditions, outdoorsmen, hikers, and campers the world over. This is a two-step process whereby part 1 and part 2 (sodium chlorite and an acid activator) are mixed together, allowed to activate for 30 to 40 seconds, which creates chlorine dioxide, then the activated mixture is added to water to purify it for safe drinking.
First used at the Niagara Falls Water Treatment Plant, chlorine dioxide spread quickly throughout the USA and Canada water treatment facilities and is now commonly used in conjunction with UV treatment to make public water safe for drinking. This type of municipal water treatment is practiced in Canada and throughout the world.
ci02 disinfectant works
Oxidizable microorganisms cannot defend themselves against chlorine dioxide, even if they are dormant. Chlorine dioxide (ci02 disinfectant) seamlessly penetrates protective biofilms where oxidizable bacteria can often hide. Other bactericides breakdown in the biofilm as they as they react to inert sugars, whereas chlorine remains intact, destroying the bacteria on contact within the biofilm and continuing to breakdown the biofilm.
This makes chlorine dioxide the reigning king of public drinking water as it can effectively wipe out Giardia Lambia and Cryptosporidium oocysts. Combining chlorine dioxide with UV treatment is the standard being used by most municipal water treatment facilities in the United States, Canada, and abroad to assure public protection from Cryptosporidium.
Checking in with the CDC dioxide chloride there are some mentions about chlorine dioxide and what happens when it reacts in water. They observe and relate that chlorine dioxide forms chlorite ions when combined with water. They note that it is reactive enabling the resulting solution to kill bacteria and microorganisms in water.
They warn about short-term exposure and those possible symptoms could include “irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. It may produce coughing, wheezing, and severe breathing difficulties which may be delayed in onset.” Noting that chlorine dioxide gas is a severe respiratory and eye irritant.
They further warn that,
“If you are exposed to chlorine dioxide or chlorite, many factors will determine whether you will be harmed. These factors include the dose (how much), the duration (how long), and how you come in contact with them. You must also consider any other chemicals you are exposed to and your age, sex, diet, family traits, lifestyle, and state of health.” (See dosing information below.)
Chlorine Dioxide for Disinfection
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), “Chlorine dioxide can be effectively used to disinfect drinking water without much alteration of palatability and can also be used to destroy pathogenic microbes, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi from vegetables and fruits.”
According to the Center for Disease Control, “Because chlorine dioxide is very reactive, it is able to kill bacteria and microorganisms in water.”
Chlorine dioxide (CD) has a long history of being used as a disinfectant dating back to its discover n 1814. It was used as a bleach in WWII when chlorine was in short supply. CD is used in the sterilization of medical supplies and lab equipment. Also, for disinfecting surface materials, patient rooms, and medical tools.
Chlorine dioxide effectively kills pathogenic microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, and prevents and removes bio films.
Chlorine dioxide can also be used against anthrax, because it is effective against spore-forming bacteria.

There are many benefits of chlorine dioxide solution, but when a miner in the jungles of Venezuela was losing co-workers as they were dying from malaria, the only thing he had access to was local surface water, which he treated with water purifier. Surprisingly, in four hours, the men had recovered and went back to work

Following in her father’s footsteps, daughter, Paris Humble, continues to spread the word about the efficacy of chlorine dioxide, though not from a religious perspective. She claims no spiritual authority, though she does believe in a higher power.
She takes a more practical scientific approach, noting that while she grew up in the shadow of thousands of people claiming that they had been healed or cured by MMS or chlorine dioxide, she now knows that,
MMS or Chlorine Dioxide Doesn’t Heal or Cure Anything
What it does do, is exactly what it is so well known for outside the body, killing the unseen things that are so detrimental to our health. And it is able to do so inside the body just as well, without harming the unseen biological elements that are a healthy match to our bodies.
It all comes down to using chlorine dioxide safely, which is not intended for human consumption as a drink. One should never drink chlorine dioxide but adding a few drops in a sufficient quantity of water is perfectly safe.
According to Paris Humble, starting at a drop of chlorine dioxide in 4 to 8 ounces of water is a perfectly safe place to start for chlorine dioxide dosing. But even at this small dose, if the body is quite heavily toxic or infected, adverse reactions may be observed, that may include nausea or other Herxheimer reactions. These negative reactions are not side effects, but the body’s attempt to dispose of the carcasses of the dead pathogens, bacteria, infected cells, etc.
If the user feels like this reaction is too violent, the recommendation is to reduce the dosage by half, again, and again, if necessary, to achieve a tolerable dose, then work your way back up from there as your body becomes stronger to tolerate a stronger dose.

NASA and Chlorine Dioxide or Not
There seems to be some confusion as to whether NASA had anything to do with the discovery of using chlorine dioxide as a powerful biocide. The truth has been replaced by media-provided documentation. This misinformation has been made readily available for researchers.
In 1987 NASA proclaimed chlorine dioxide a universal antidote. The reason they were searching for one item that would get rid of any sickness is obvious in our primitive space flight (every ounce of weight carried in a shuttle requires more fuel, thus a bigger rocket) so they tested thousands of healing products until they found, “chlorine dioxide.”
Our whole multi-billion-dollar sickness care industry would fall flat on it’s face if everyone knew that only one simple purifying substance would be needed to be in their medicine cabinet to handle most any health crisis.
The drug company owned media responded with a misleading “truth” to NASA’s dangerous proclamation with the following statement, “NASA did not declare chlorine dioxide a universal antidote in 1988. Chlorine dioxide is a dangerous bleach.”
You see what they did! NASA did not declare chlorine dioxide a universal antidote in 1988, they did it in 1987, and bleach is an entirely different chemical, sodium hypochlorite.
So, they obviously used a truth to tell a lie!

The most important discussion to consider about chlorine dioxide function to have with yourself it to understand that there are two schools of thought concerning chlorine dioxide function. There are the authorized function and the unauthorized, where the two are never to intermingle, or should they? Only you can answer that for yourself.
Authorized Chlorine Dioxide Function
The undeniable official word is that chlorine dioxide is a biocide that destroys bacteria, viruses, and various parasites. It is used to disinfect water for drinking. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) recommends it in no greater than 0.8 parts per million (ppm) for municipal distribution of water.
Chlorine dioxide is generally used industrially across a wide spectrum of industries including oil, gas, and all types of food processing and handling. The antimicrobial function of chlorine dioxide lends CDS itself to being used in poultry processing and to clean fresh fruits and vegetables. You will find chlorine dioxide used throughout the processing of water, sweets, fruits, meat, grains, dairy, and vegetables.
Hospitals and other healthcare establishments, use chlorine dioxide gas to sterilize medical tools and equipment in patient care and in laboratories.
You will also find chlorine dioxide is used in the pulp and paper manufacturing process.
Unauthorized Chlorine Dioxide Function
The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) strictly forbids the ingestion of chlorine dioxide for any reason as it has determined that chlorine dioxide is not fit for human conception under any circumstances. That said, you should never drink chlorine dioxide, nor ever tell anyone to do so, or you may suffer federal consequences as may be deemed appropriate by the FDA.
Unauthorized uses of chlorine dioxide include, but are not limited to, treating or attempting to cure any medical ailments, including autism, HIV, malaria, hepatitis viruses, influenza, common colds, or cancer. Regardless of warnings issued by the FDA, many people have ignored the federal threats and decided to investigate the MMS Recovery processes first promoted by minister Jim Humble and based on his book, The Master Mineral Solution of the Third Millennium. In the book, he cites various protocols (using only a few drops of chlorine dioxide at a time) which have been found to have had miraculous results, greatly affecting the lives of people who have struggled with ongoing chronic pain and disease.
There are 2,240 drops of water in 4 ounces of water and the protocols mention using 1 to 3 drops of chlorine dioxide in 4 ounces of water. All protocols in Humble’s book call for only a few drops heavily diluted by water. Just like the military in the field, campers in the wilderness, or hikers on trails have been doing for years to purify water. No one is recommending anyone to drink straight chlorine dioxide. To do so would invite a trip to the emergency room just as if you swallowed a whole new bottle of prescription pills at once.
At three drops per serving, there are 747 servings in a 4 oz. bottle. Who would take 747 servings of anything at once? FDA warnings are valid. Do not drink chlorine dioxide.
Chlorine Dioxide Drops for Sale
Chlorine dioxide drops for sale can be hard to locate. Basically, you are looking for the chlorine dioxide two-part water purification drops available under various brand names. It is good to find a supplier you can trust. There will be either a Part A and Part B configuration or Part 1 and Part 2.
One bottle will contain 28% Sodium Chlorite, and the other will have an acid activator, like 50% citric acid, or something like that.
Chlorine Dioxide Solution CDS
Chlorine Dioxide Solution or CDS is an alternative method of making chlorine dioxide without having to mix a two-part solution such as the method of missing water purification drops which are used for purifying questionable water in the field, also when camping or hiking.
The highest verifiable concentration of chlorine dioxide solution is 3,000 parts per million or 3000 PPM. So, you may find this product labeled as CDS 3000, or find the reference of 3000 PPM.
The process whereby CDS 3000 PPM is manufactured is via distillation, where the gas from chlorine dioxide is allowed to naturally permeate H2O over time. 3,000 parts per million is the highest concentration that can be suspended in water.
It is rumored that the chloride dioxide that is created by the two-part method has a very unpleasant taste to it, while CDS 3000 is much more palatable.
New Book by Paris Humble
Paris Humble the daughter of MMS Pioneer, Jim Humble, continues his work and has just released her new book, the Healthy Alternative Chlorine Dioxide Uses. Non-pharmacological Health Restoration and you might think there would be some crossover-appeal giving way to healthy uses of chlorine dioxide besides just sanitary use, and you’d be right.
In fact, about half of this book is all about how to do just that. Of course, much of this book is based on her father’s work, but there is no doubt that she picked up where he left off, with full respect for the work he’d done previously.
She doesn’t use his nickname for chlorine dioxide (MMS) but includes it in her book as well as protocols, regimens, and regimes. This is the new book that fans of MMS have been waiting for.

Aren’t MMS Promoters in Jail?
Well, there is that. Apparently, Mark Grenon, 62, and his sons, Jonathan Grenon, 34, Jordan Grenon, 26, and Joseph Grenon, 32, all of Bradenton, Florida were arrested and are being held in jail for claiming that MMS (chlorine dioxide) was a cure for the coronavirus.

According to reports, charging documents accused the Grenons of claiming that the “dangerous substance” could cure not only the coronavirus but dozens of other serious diseases and disorders, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, autism, multiple sclerosis, and HIV/AIDS.
Author Paris Humble says, “I doubt they made those claims,” because it is now well-known and documented that chlorine dioxide, or “MMS” as the Grenons refer to it,
does not heal or cure anything
What it does do, is what it has always done, kills pathogens, bacteria, viruses, etc., and that is all. If these things are keeping the body from healing itself, chlorine dioxide may be able to get rid of them, clearing the way and empowering the body’s immune system to do what it’s designed to do, heal the body.
Some claim that chlorine dioxide is also an excellent method to detox the body of heavy metals.
Paris remembers when she was younger and traveling with her father, Jim Humble, they did think that MMS was healing people, which was based on the testimonials and claims of people who said that they were healed or cured by taking a few drops of chlorine dioxide in water. The people called it a miracle solution.
Of course, when you’re surrounded by all that positive energy, you just go with it. Now, we have more scientific data and a better understanding of what is actually going on.

Jim Humble’s work spread like wildfire as his research piqued the interest and triggered the countering of pharmaceutical companies, who alerted medical institutions, government agencies, and the media, launching an impressive defamatory campaign against Mr. Humble’s ideas.
The FDA was quick to respond warning that though it was authorized for use in the sanitization, they declared it illegal to use chlorine dioxide for consumption by humans. Even though it has been used for years in food processing and municipal water treatment and by veterinarians for animals.
Veterinarians and Treatment-resistant Cats
Veterinarians have had consistent success treating cats with fatal feline viruses that are otherwise impossible to treat. Chlorine dioxide seeks out and kills the most difficult viruses to without affecting healthy cells. This has been accepted as standard practice, saving the lives of many cats who would have died, as documented by The American Animal Hospital Association.
Chlorine Dioxide Topical Use
In addition to the many forms that chlorine dioxide products are available, there is the transdermal application of MMS. CDS 3000 Chlorine Dioxide Solution
Chlorine dioxide is the least expensively available as a two-part mixture. A pair of four-ounce bottles will last approximately 6 months or more, depending on how much you use daily, and you can make it up by mixing one drop to one drop, waiting 30 to 40 seconds, and mixing with water to use. Compare that to CDS 3000 Chlorine Dioxide solution which is ready right out of the bottle, and it tastes much better than homemade two-part process MMS.
There is no pre-mixing necessary as with the one-two method of creating chlorine dioxide on your own because CDS 3000 is created by the distillation process. The gas from mixing sodium chlorite and an activator is infused with pure H2O. The number 3000 in the CDS 3000 represents the 3,000 parts per million (PPM) concentration of chlorine dioxide gas in pure water. 3,000 PPM is the maximum amount of suspension of chlorine dioxide gas in water through the distillation process.

Making Chlorine Dioxide

Armed with Part 1 and Part 2 water purification drops, you put one drop of Part 1 and One drop of Part 2 into a small clean and dry glass, like a shot glass, and swirl the drops together. Neither Paris nor her father Jim Humble is suggesting that anyone defy your doctor’s advice, but it is your right as an American citizen to choose to use chlorine dioxide treatment for home for yourself, not anyone else. Note that if it appears to have miraculous results for you, it may not work in the same way in anyone else’s body because we are all different. Never try to convince someone to drink purified water. But if you decide to try this for yourself you must,
Get it in your body.
You must be able to get chlorine dioxide in your body or else it will not work. Drinking chlorine dioxide made from the Part 1 and Part 2 process can taste bad at higher dosages. Paris Humble prefers pre-mixed CDS 3000 because it tastes better. DMSO can also be combined with chlorine dioxide for topical applications.
In terms of the CDS chlorine dioxide solution dosage, five drops of CDS 3000 are equivalent to 1 drop of MMS.

According to the author, Paris Humble, chlorine dioxide does not heal or cure anything. She suggests that the body is fully capable to heal itself. More and more people are looking for ways to find chlorine dioxide for sale and you will probably be able to find it available as water purification drops (WPD). These products come in a two-part kit and are used for treating questionable water from sources that may not be healthfully drinkable. The water purifier kills harmful bacteria and pathogens that may be present in the water making it safe to drink.

Activated sodium chlorite becomes chlorine dioxide. Sodium chlorite is activated by combining it with acid, such as lactic acid, acetic acid, tartaric acid, or diluted citric, hydrochloric, sulfuric, or phosphoric acids.
This can be easily conducted at home by using a part 1 and part 2 mix of equivalent drops. It is as easy as starting with a clean and dry shot glass and adding one drop of part 1 (sodium chlorite) and one drop of diluted acid and swirling the two drops together. According to Jim Humble, this would be the equivalent to one drop of MMS (activated chlorine dioxide). Wait for 30-40 seconds, add some water to the shot glass, swirl again and pour into a 4 oz or 8 oz glass of water, and you have purified chlorine dioxide water.
The definitive Jim Humble book, The Master Mineral Solution of the Third Millennium, was written before the proliferation of CDS, so it was based on the mixing method and the number of drops indicated in his protocols are based on these mixed drops.
Since then, chlorine dioxide CDS has been introduced, which also comes by many names, like CDS 3000, or chlorine dioxide solution, but the result is a more consistent stabilized chlorine dioxide solution that tests at 3,000 parts per million (3000 PPM). This is already activated and does not require pre-mixing, like the Part 1 + Part 2 method.
According to Paris Humble in her new book, Healthy Alternative Chlorine Dioxide Uses Non-pharmacological Health Restoration, you would need eight-times the amount of CDS 3000 to equal one drop of MMS. So, to correctly apply the CDS 3000 formulation to the protocols in Jim’s MMS Health Recovery Guidebook, you would need to multiply the drops of CDS 3000 by eight. Therefore, one drop of MMS would be equal to 8 drops of CDS 3000.
8 drops of CDS 3000 = 1 drop MMS
Concerning mms and chlorine dioxide safety, these substances are very safe when diluted in the quantities recommended by Jim Humble, Paris, and the others who recommend MMS for humans among many other chlorine dioxide uses. The suggested starting solution is 1 drop of MMS in a 4 to 8 oz. glass of water. 4 ounces of water is 2,365 drops of water with one drop of chlorine dioxide. Opponents of MMS warn that chlorine dioxide will kill you, and certainly drinking undiluted pure chlorine dioxide would not be recommended and one might suffer from doing so. Even so, no one has ever died from using MMS.
MMS or chlorine dioxide are very safe when used in diluted states and note that the FDA has authorized the use of chlorine dioxide for industrial use for food product cleansing, handling, equipment disinfecting, and water treatment. It is not authorized for human consumption.
Searching the internet for chlorine dioxide solution buy to purchase chlorine dioxide drops may be effective when purchased from trusted sources. Also noteworthy is that you may discover and potentially be confused by the many types of mms that are available. New mms sources are not likely to offer MMS for sale due to its being banned by the FDA in the USA.
The most common way to find it is as a two-part water purification mixture, like Part A and Part B. To mix and activate the sodium chlorite, you combine one drop of part A in a shot glass with one drop of part B in a shot glass and swirl it around, then wait for 30 to 40 seconds, then add water to the shot glass and pour into 4 to 8 ounces of water and drink it.
Alternatively, you can get chlorine dioxide solution premixed as CDS 3000. If you have a quantity of CDS 3000, which is 3,000 parts per million concentrations of your chlorine dioxide supplement, you must refrigerate after opening the bottle. An opened bottle will have a shortened shelf life due to its being pre-activated but should last up to 30 days sealed and refrigerated between uses.
A Better Tasing MMS
Many people prefer chloride dioxide solution or CDS 3000 because it tastes much better than the DIY mixing process. The reason it tastes better is because the process by which it is made uses distillation. The time-consuming distillation process (which can take up to 48 hours) creates the solution from the expelled gasses that are expelled by activated sodium chloride. This advanced process creates the 3,000 PPM concentration which is reported to be the highest concentration that of the gas which can be suspended in water.
For this reason, you will find that CDS 3000 is quite a bit more costly than making it yourself from a two-part mixture that can be done instantly on site.
If you have bought any grocery store food, or eaten in a restaurant, in the last 40 years, you’ve already taken chlorine dioxide without even knowing it.
Chlorine dioxide is used in every food processing plant and commercial kitchen. It touches almost everything you eat, and it keeps your food safe. It is authorized for this use by the FDA, and if you eat raw fresh vegetables from the store, you are probably ingesting it when you do. (Though its pathogen-killing ability fades over time, so by the time you get it from the store, there is little or no benefit from doing so.)

How to Conduct Your Protocol 1000
Activate one drop of MMS and mix with two to four ounces of water in a clean, dry glass
Drink within one minute of mixing
Keep taking the one drop of activated MMS solution every hour
After a few consecutive hours of taking the one-drop solution without any negative side effects consider adding an additional drop
When you are ready, regularly review your status and consider adding another drop to your regimen, until you reach three drops per hour
Continue drinking your MMS solution every hour for eight hours over a three-week (21-day) period
Don’t be afraid to be cautious, only add an additional drop to your existing regimen when you are comfortable and ready for the increase. Of course, if you experience a negative reaction, cut your present dose in half until you are able to stabilize.
As part of the elimination of the exterminated pathogens you may experience mild diarrhea but if it gets to be undesirable, or you are experiencing nausea or vomiting, cut your number of MMS drops in half until you stabilize.

Such is the case also with any chlorine dioxide treatment. In the alternative healing industry, this is referred to as a Herxheimer reaction. This reaction, which was named after its discoverer, Jarisch Herxheimer, was described by Herb Roi Richards, Ph.D. in his book, “Lyme Disease Non-Medical Diagnosis and Treatment,” as being a condition of killing off too many bad guys at one time, where the bad guys, in his case huge amounts of dead spirochetes, were being ejected by the body as immediately disposable waste. This could be by any means, through sweat, tears, coughing, urine, with fecal matter, and could include diarrhea and vomiting.
Richards, who used chlorine dioxide to kick chronic Lyme disease in one year for pennies, says he did not panic when visited by such Herxheimer reactions, but instead sought to immediately manage it. To stop drinking chlorine dioxide dilutions, would have immediately stop killing the pathogens, whether they were spirochetes or any other variety of bad guy, elsewise the death of those expelled would have been for not. Instead, he cut the dose in half. If the reactions persisted, he cut it in half again, and continued to cut back until he had arrived at dose that was tolerable for him, but he did not stop. He kept on taking it, and slowly but surely once he had reduced the population of the pathogens that were robbing him from his healthy state, be noticed and felt his functional life returning to his body once again.

According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia — Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound with the formula ClO2. This reddish-yellow gas crystallizes as orange crystals at -59 degrees C. As one of several oxides of chlorine, it is a potent and useful oxidizing agent used in water treatment and in bleaching.
ClO2 has a long history of use in the United States — Chlorine dioxide is used primarily (>95%) for bleaching of wood pulp, but is also used for the bleaching of flour and for the disinfection of municipal drinking water. Sisty-four years ago — The Niagara Falls, New York water treatment plant first used chlorine dioxide for drinking water treatment in 1944 for phenol destruction.
Fifty-two years ago — Chlorine dioxide was introduced as a drinking water disinfectant on a large scale in 1956, when Brussels, Belgium, changed from chlorine-to-chlorine dioxide. Its most common use in water treatment is as a pre-oxidant prior to chlorination of drinking water to destroy natural water impurities that produce trihalomethanes on exposure to free chlorine. Trihalomethanes are suspect carcinogenic disinfection by-products associated with chlorination of naturally occurring organics in the raw water.
Chlorine dioxide is also superior to chlorine when operating above pH7, in the presence of ammonia and amines and/or for the control of biofilms in water distribution systems. Chlorine dioxide is used in many industrial water treatment applications as a biocide including cooling towers, process water and food processing. Chlorine dioxide is less corrosive than chlorine and superior for the control of legionella bacteria.
It is more effective as a disinfectant in most circumstances than chlorine against water borne pathogenic microbes such as viruses, bacteria and protozoa? including the cysts of Giardia and the oocysts of Cryptosporidium.
Water Treatment Systems — The use of chlorine dioxide in water treatment leads to the formation of the by-product chlorite which is currently limited to a maximum of 1 ppm in drinking water in the USA. This EPA standard limits the use of chlorine dioxide in the USA to relatively high-quality water or water which is to be treated with iron-based coagulants. (Iron can reduce chlorite to chloride.)

Chlorine Dioxide Kills mold — It can also be used for air disinfection, and was the principal agent used in the decontamination of buildings in the United States after the 2001 anthrax attacks. Recently, after the disaster of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Louisiana and the surrounding Gulf Coast, chlorine dioxide has been used to eradicate dangerous mold from houses inundated by water from massive flooding.
Chlorine dioxide is used as an oxidant for phenol destruction in wastewater streams, control of zebra and quagga mussels in water intakes and for odor control in the air scrubbers of animal byproduct (rendering) plants.
Stabilized chlorine dioxide can also be used in an oral rinse to treat oral disease and malodor, but its adverse side-effects are still being investigated.[1]
Laboratory Preparation of Chlorine Dioxide
Chlorine dioxide is a highly endothermic compound that can decompose extremely violently when separated from diluting substances. As a result, preparation methods that involve producing solutions of it without going through a gas phase stage are often preferred.
In the laboratory, ClO2 is prepared by oxidation of sodium chlorite:[2]

Are there Any Allergies to DMSO?
This treatment includes DMSO. I have never seen a case of an allergy to DMSO, but apparently in rare cases someone is allergic to DMSO. When you get your bottle of DMSO put one drop on your skin and see if you have an allergic reaction. If not, an hour later put 10 drops on your skin and spread it out. If you do not have a reaction, go ahead with the treatment.
What Is Chlorine Dioxide?
Chlorine dioxide has been studied by scientists for many years and has been mentioned in many scientific journals. However, it was Jim Humble who brought chlorine dioxide to the forefront of alternative medicine.
Jim used 15 drops of chlorine dioxide, followed one hour later by another 15 drops, to cure malaria. AIDS/HIV can also be cured with chlorine dioxide, though the administration of chlorine dioxide is different.
Another thing Jim Humble discovered is that chlorine dioxide can be made at home by mixing stabilized oxygen (also known as: sodium chlorite) with an “activator.” It is the “activator” which converts the sodium chlorite into chlorine dioxide.
Normal stabilized oxygen (e.g., Vitamin O, Aerobic O7 or Aerobic KO7) is usually between 3% and 6% sodium chlorite. This is NOT the same thing as table salt, which is sodium chloride.
Stabilized oxygen (i.e., sodium chlorite) has been used in alternative medicine for several decades. It is used primarily to prevent viral infections, such as colds and the flu, and to treat allergies.
The Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS) is 28% sodium chlorite. The reason for this mixture is so that it will react more readily to the “activator.”
Vendors may sell bottles which recommend adding MMS to some form of vinegar. DO NOT USE VINEGAR WITH MMS!!! Vinegar can actually feed yeast infections.
The three things you can mix with MMS are (these are the three activators): 1) fresh squeezed lemon juice, which you squeeze yourself, 2) fresh squeezed lime juice, which you squeeze yourself, or 3) 10% powdered citric acid
Any of these three items will chemically react to the sodium chlorite to create chlorine dioxide. The powdered citric acid is the preferred item to mix with MMS, if it is purchased from a vendor of MMS. If it is not purchased from a vendor of MMS, it may have been sitting on the shelf for many months. But MMS vendors have high turnover of citric acid, thus the product is always fresh.
10% citric acid mixes better with sodium chlorite than lemon juice or lime juice. When using chlorine dioxide transdermally, meaning through the skin, 10% citric acid also penetrates the skin better than lemon juice or lime juice.
The things you should NOT mix with sodium chlorite are just as important as the things you should mix with it. For example, do NOT use any type of bottled lemon juice, such as ReaLemon, as it may have vitamin C added as a preservative.
The bottom line is to always use 10% citric acid, purchased from a vendor of MMS, or if you cannot get that, then use fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice (which you squeezed yourself). Nothing else is acceptable as an activator.
Also note the Miracle Mineral Supplement bottle should NOT be exposed directly to sunlight.
